1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us directly.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register on the Services, express an interest in our products, participate in activities within the App, or contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. Depending on your interactions with us, we may collect:
- names
- email addresses
- phone numbers
- usernames
- passwords (stored in encrypted form)
- contact preferences
- business name and ABN
- trade type and business details
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, health information, or financial account details).
Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment, such as your payment instrument number and security code. All payment data is handled and stored by Apple Inc. through the Apple App Store. You may find Apple's privacy notice at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. Rize Group Pty Ltd does not store payment card details.
Social Media Login Data. We may offer you the option to register using your existing Apple ID, Google account, or other social media credentials. If you choose to do so, we collect certain profile information from that provider (typically your name and email address). See section 5 for details.
Application Data. When you use the RenoWise iOS application, we may collect the following with your permission:
- Camera and Storage Access. We request access to your device camera and photo library so you can upload photos and videos to variation orders and estimates. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings.
- Mobile Device Data. We automatically collect device information including your device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, device identifiers, IP address, and app feature usage data. This is needed for security, troubleshooting, and analytics.
- Push Notifications. We may request permission to send push notifications about your account and app activity. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate. Please notify us if any of your information changes.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information — such as your IP address and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you use our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This includes device and usage data such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about how and when you use our Services. This data does not reveal your specific identity.
We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies on our website. The information we collect includes:
- Log and Usage Data. Service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services. This may include your IP address, device information, browser type, pages viewed, features used, and device event information (such as system activity and crash reports).
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and secure our Services, to communicate with you, and to comply with the law.
We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account. We use your registration information to set up your account and authenticate you when you log in.
- To provide and deliver the Services. We process your business data (clients, variations, estimates, materials, labour) to operate the App and deliver its features.
- To process payments. We facilitate your subscription payments through the Apple App Store. We do not handle payment processing directly.
- To send administrative communications. We may send you account-related emails, such as subscription confirmations, password resets, and service updates.
- To send estimate approval requests. The App sends emails on your behalf to your clients containing variation and estimate approval links. Those emails are sent using your client's email address that you provide.
- To send push notifications. With your consent, we may send push notifications about activity in your account.
- To improve our Services. We analyse usage patterns to understand how the App is used and to identify areas for improvement.
- To ensure security and prevent fraud. We monitor for suspicious activity, account misuse, and technical vulnerabilities.
- To comply with legal obligations. We may process your information where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.
4. Do We Use Cookies And Other Tracking Technologies?
In Short: We may use cookies on our website. The RenoWise iOS app uses device identifiers rather than browser cookies.
Our website (https://renowise.au) may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information about your visit. Cookies are small data files placed on your device that help us remember your preferences and understand how you use our site.
The types of cookies we may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as filling in forms.
- Analytics cookies. Help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously.
The RenoWise iOS application does not use browser cookies. However, it may use device identifiers and local storage to maintain your session and store app preferences.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you disable cookies, some parts of our website may not function properly.
6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and meet our legal obligations.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your account data for a reasonable period (generally up to 90 days) to allow for account recovery, after which it will be deleted or anonymised.
In some cases we may retain certain information for longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements;
- complying with tax, accounting, or audit obligations; or
- maintaining records for fraud prevention.
Uploaded files (photos and videos) are stored until you delete them or close your account, after which they are removed from our storage systems within 90 days.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer be associated with you.
7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In Short: We use technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, but no system is 100% secure.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect the personal information we process, including:
- encryption of data in transit using TLS;
- encryption of data at rest within our hosting infrastructure;
- access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data;
- authentication requirements for all account access; and
- use of reputable cloud infrastructure providers with their own security certifications.
However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security measures and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
You are also responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone, and contact us immediately at renowise2025@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
8. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect information from or market to people under 18 years of age.
RenoWise is a business tool intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at renowise2025@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information.
9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In Short: Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have rights to access, correct, and complain about the handling of your personal information.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will provide access within a reasonable time and may charge a reasonable fee for doing so.
- Correction. If you believe any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, you may ask us to correct it.
- Anonymity. Where lawful and practicable, you may interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. However, we cannot provide you with the full Services without your account information.
- Complaints. If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may make a complaint to us directly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
Account deletion. You may delete your RenoWise account at any time through the App settings. On account deletion, we will begin the process of removing your personal data from our systems in accordance with section 6.

10. Controls For Do-Not-Track Features
In Short: We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals as there is no industry standard for doing so.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.
At this stage there is no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals. Accordingly, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.
11. Do Other Regions Have Specific Privacy Rights?
In Short: Users in New Zealand and other regions may have additional privacy rights under their local laws.
New Zealand
If you are located in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) gives you rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to request access to and correction of your information. You may contact the Office of the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner at https://www.privacy.org.nz if you have concerns about how we handle your information.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
RenoWise is primarily designed for Australian and New Zealand businesses. If you are accessing our Services from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation. 14. How Can You Review, Update, Or Delete The Data We Collect From You?
Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, to correct inaccurate information, or to delete it. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please contact us at renowise2025@gmail.com.
You may also:
- Update your account information directly in the RenoWise app at any time.
- Delete your account through the App settings. This will initiate deletion of your personal data from our systems (see section 6 for retention details).
- Delete uploaded files (photos and videos) directly within the App at any time.
Please note that some information may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons even after you request deletion. Where this is the case, we will inform you of what we are retaining and why.
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days of receipt.
5. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
In Short: If you choose to register or log in using a social account (such as Apple ID or Google), we receive limited profile information from that provider.
We offer you the option to register and log in to RenoWise using your Apple ID or Google account. When you do this, we receive certain profile information from that provider. The information we receive depends on the provider and your privacy settings, but typically includes your:
We use this information only to create or authenticate your RenoWise account. We will not store more information from your social account than is necessary for this purpose.
Please note that any information you provide to a social media platform is also governed by that platform's own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any provider you use to log in.
